Yoshiaki is directly responsible for the patent side of our firm. He joined us in 2009 after a decade as senior patent engineer at another prestigious Japanese IP firm, and was registered as a patent attorney the same year. He has over 25 years’ experience in IP and adept in all aspects of patent prosecution and enforcement.

Yoshiaki holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. His patent practice includes data processing, communication technology, medical devices and all aspects of machinery.

Yoshiaki has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting IP domestically and internationally. He also has substantial experience in opposition and appeal proceedings before the Japan Patent Office.

Yoshiaki is a full-time dad, but seems to be more able to successfully juggle his time than the other fathers at KIPB!
